The level of focus put into the front-end design process and the selection of the correct development options are critical to the success of any project. Establishing robust concepts, understanding technical risks and incorporating operational experience into designs from wellhead to shore are key areas where PI contributes to our customers’ successes.
Our experience shows that the cause of later operational problems include inadequate consideration of; pipeline flow behavior, treatment processes, plant control at start-up and shutdown, compressor dynamic control, maintenance needs, and energy efficiency. We have vast experience, tools and methodologies that enable us to address these issues when it matters most – at the start.
We use recognised industry process simulation packages together with our own bespoke software to appraise many aspects of design including: flow assurance issues, process operations, flare systems, GT and compressor performance. Steady state and dynamic models of our customers’ processing systems are developed and maintained to varying levels of complexity to suit individual requirements.
We are experienced in the development and implementation of hydrocarbon measurement and allocation agreements for new satellite tieback developments. We can critically review third party designs and add value by improving up-time and operability based upon our team’s extensive hands-on operating experience.
